There was a time when plaid fabric was only associated with gentlemen's suiting and "sensible" ladies skirts.  Fortunately today, plaid is a very chic, elegant and immensely popular interior fabric.  Incredibly versatile, it is produced in a huge range of fabrics, weights, styles and finishes making it a "must have" in any 21st Century drawing room/sitting room, dining room, bedroom or even bathroom!
 
Plaid fabrics can be incorporated in so many different ways whether it is curtains, blinds, upholstered furniture, footstools or accessories such as cushions, window seats, bed throws or even carpet!  It can be dressed up by using it with velvet or silk finished with a trim such as beading or braid.  Alternatively it can be dressed down on a traditional oak or beech framed chair or sofa with stud detail.
 
Plaid fits into any contemporary or traditional home because it comes in so many different colours and textures. Sage green/duck egg blues, rich browns/soft raspberry or more flamboyant purples/cerise pinks, lime greens/yellow.  Plaid will always add elegance to any design scheme.
