Mull Theatre’s production of Laurel and Hardy, the critically acclaimed play by Scottish playwright Tom McGrath, will be at Brunton Theatre this March as part of an extensive Scottish tour. The production, which will be a tribute to McGrath who died in 2009, is a celebration of life, love and friendship. Laurel and Hardy lifts the bowler hats of Stan and Ollie to look at their lives, loves and offers a fascinating insight into their off-screen relationship and personal heartaches. With some of their finest comedy routines, musical numbers, dance and slapstick, the charm of Stan and Ollie are reborn in this warm and affectionate look at the most successful and prolific comedy team in screen history. Mull Theatre is the main producing and touring theatre company of Argyll and Bute and the Highlands and Islands. It produces an acclaimed annual production of plays and their productions are toured around Scotland from village halls to large city theatres. Laurel and Hardy will be at Brunton Theatre on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 March. Tickets are £10.50 (£8.50) and £6 for under 18s and are available now from Brunton Theatre Box Office on 0131 665 2240 or online at www.bruntontheatre.co.uk |
