The Willie Park 150th Anniversary Golf Competition - Musselburgh Links - Old Course.
The competition will take place on the old Muselburgh Links and will be open to all-comers as a scratch and handicap tournament for ladies and gentlemen.  It will include a hickory division for those who want to celebrate the annniversary in true style.  Following the competition there will be a Gala Dinner in the Brunton Hall, Musselburgh at a cost of £30.  The evening will begin with a presentation of the nprizes and after dinner a golf auction will be held followed by guest speakers from the world of golf, including Musselburgh's Alex Hay.
The following day, Sunday 28th March, the leading qualifiers from the previous day will take part in a Ryder cup style match against an invitational team containing celebrities and professionals.  Entry fee is £20 and entry forms may be obtained from Lionel Freeman, 117 Mayfield Crescent, Musselburgh EH21 6RU Tel: 0131 665 4861
